¨ All participants must be OCPA members in good standing during the Tech Challenge "image submission/judging" time period.
¨ Participation fee is $5.00 per member (this fee does not included film or processing).
¨ All participants will be required to put name in hat to be chosen for Technical Judging (5 judges will be needed), date TBA.
¨ Since this is a Tech Challenge, all participants must have (or access to) equipment capable of, but not limited to: multiple exposure, macro, zoom techniques, flash, long exposure, depth-of-field preview, polarizing and other possible filters. It is always possible to shoot the list without all the hardware capabilities if the participant is clever enough to shoot the subject/technique without the "normal" equipment to do so.
¨ All eligible images must be shot on transparency (slide) film and in 2x2 inch slide mounts. The exact type of film is at the discretion of the participant. Any/all images shot after May 2000 are eligible for this competition. Participants may shoot as much film as deemed necessary to submit the best image(s) possible.
¨ Subject list will consist of 10 items/techniques (any/all images shot after May 2000 are eligible for this competition).
¨ Scoring:
· Get The Shot: 3 points will be awarded for each item/technique turned in for judging (maximum 30 possible points).
· Popular Vote (judged on screen by any/all members, friends or family except the participants themselves).
§ Scoring on a 1-9 scale (same as all OCPA contests), based on how good an images it is, does it meet the subject/technique, composition, etc. Totals are averaged and awarded. A perfect score for a single image would be 9 (maximum 90 possible points total).
· Participants Vote (judged on screen simultaneously with Popular Vote by the Participants only).
§ Scoring on a 1-9 scale (same as all OCPA contests), stressing on how well it was done technically plus other criteria as with "Popular Vote". Totals are averaged and awarded. A perfect score for a single image would be 9 (maximum 90 possible points total).
· Technical Score (judged on a light table at a later date by 5 participants chosen randomly).
§ Scoring on a 1-9 scale (same as all OCPA contests), judged solely on exposure, focus/sharpness and other technical aspects, that are not possible to judge accurately on the screen. Totals are averaged and awarded. Perfect score for a single image would be 9 (maximum 90 possible points total)
· Total Possible Score: 300 points (10% Get The Shot, 30% Popular Vote, 30% Participants Vote, 30% Technical Score).
